Are you ready to write Legal Research Performance Task (LRPT) questions to prepare your students for the NextGen Bar Exam? Should you be? Whether you are intrigued or skeptical, our panel is here to guide you through each step of the process. We will begin with the "why" and "how" before turning to implementing these questions in our teaching.

Explore the LRPT content creation process, beginning with selecting a substantive area of law, developing this law and the facts that go with it, and crafting LRPT questions from the law and facts. Hear how you can use official NCBE questions to guide your writing process. Panelists will share practical insights gleaned from creating a LRPT and assessing students with it. The discussion will also cover how to create these questions for use in non-LRPT settings to continue developing the skills students need for the LRPT.

In addition to the panel discussions and live polling, the program will include an interactive section allowing participants to share their experiences and thoughts, as well as a significant amount of time for specific questions and dialogue. This program will include live polling, a guided Q&A session, resource toolkit, and break-out groups.

This program is sponsored by the Research Instruction & Patron Services SIS (RIPS-SIS).
