Rebecca Fordon is an assistant professor of practice and the assistant director of innovation, research & instruction at the Ohio State University Moritz Law Library. She earned her BA from Ohio Wesleyan University, her JD from Boston University School of Law, and her MLIS from UCLA. Before transitioning to law librarianship, she practiced corporate bankruptcy law for a decade at a Boston firm, where she eventually became a partner. At Moritz, Fordon teaches legal writing, legal research, and legal technology, regularly integrating AI tools into her coursework. She frequently speaks on the intersection of AI and the law, co-founded the blog AI Law Librarians, and serves on the board of the Free Law Project—a nonprofit dedicated to expanding public access to legal materials. She was named a member of the vLex Fastcase 50 in 2024 and received the Emerging Leader Award from AALL in 2026.

Cas Laskowski is a veteran, librarian, gamer, teacher, Latina, techie, comic book nerd, and empiricist in perpetual beta. She regularly engages in national AI initiatives and is the co-founder and current leader of the Future of Law Libraries Initiative. Laskowski was a 2024–2025 fellow of the UA Research Leadership Institute and a founding fellow of the University of Tennessee Library’s 2021 IDEA Institute on Artificial Intelligence. Notably, she was the only librarian selected for the 2022 Summer Conference on Applied Data Science at North Carolina State University, where she leveraged machine learning summarization methods to prototype an audio-identification system for intelligence analysts. Additionally, she co-led the UA Making AI Generative for Higher Education project team—a two-year cross-institutional partnership with Ithaka S+R. She currently serves on both the Arizona Steering Committee on Artificial Intelligence and the Courts and the UA AI Roadmap initiative.

Diana Koppang is the Director of Knowledge Management at Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP, a 135-attorney firm in Chicago. Koppang manages the firm’s knowledge management and AI initiatives, with a focus on adoption and process improvement. She directs a team of information professionals who conduct all research and competitive intelligence for the firm. Koppang has presented nationally and locally on the topics of GenAI, litigation analytics, contract negotiation, law library trends, and patent and trademark research. She is currently Vice President of the Chicago Association of Law Libraries and has previously served on the boards of the American Association of Law Libraries and the Private Law Librarians and Information Professionals Special Interest Section (PLLIP-SIS). She was named to the Fastcase 50 list in 2020 for her work in litigation analytics and honored with the Private Law Librarians Advocate of the Year award in 2019 and the Agnes and Harvey Reid Award for Outstanding Contribution to Law Librarianship in 2020. Koppang earned her MLIS from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2004.

Leland Sampson brings together his love of technology and the law by managing the People’s Law Library legal information website at the Maryland Thurgood Marshall State Law Library. He is a member of the Maryland Judiciary Artificial Intelligence Governance Subcommittee and Co-Chair of the Maryland State Bar Association AI Task Force. Sampson has presented nationally on generative AI, legal technology, access to justice, and law library innovation, including programs for NACM, AALL, and the ABA. His recent work focuses on practical, responsible GenAI implementation, including acceptable use policies, staff education, procurement, and risk-aware adoption strategies.
