As our government continues to strive to be more transparent in government activities, this program will examine a brief history of Executive Orders that have defined classified information and the methods for the declassification of these documents. As the number of FOIA requests increase, attendees will learn best practices for making FOIA requests and what strategies can be used to expedite access to this information being sought by members of the public.

Directors, Managers, Reference Librarians, and anyone interested in government information, digitization in federal libraries, and the surrounding issues.
