Saskia Mehlhorn, Director, Knowledge and Research Services at Norton Rose Fulbright, US LLP

Prior to joining Norton Rose Fulbright, Mehlhorn worked for the University of Houston O’Quinn Law Library as the foreign and international law librarian supporting the international research areas, specifically NAFTA and international arbitration. She has presented on both the national and local level on topics like artificial intelligence, knowledge management, and international arbitration. Mehlhorn received her law degree from the University of Hamburg, Germany, and practiced law in Hannover, Germany, before accepting a position in the QHSE department of Schlumberger Ltd. She also holds a LLM from the University of Houston and an MLIS from the University of North Texas.

Stephanie Walker, Head of Product Development, Large Law & Corporate, Continuing Education of the Bar

Prior to working in legal product development, Walker was a civil litigator with a practice including general commercial and business litigation, insurance defense, products and premises liability, intellectual property litigation, contract disputes, and real estate disputes. Her work is focused on simplifying the lives and workflows of California attorneys.

Anne Stemlar, Managing Director of Knowledge & Innovation Strategy, Goodwin

Anne Stemlar serves as Goodwin’s Managing Director of Knowledge Management and Research. Anne leads a global team of information professionals, legal technologists and professional support lawyers. She is responsible for the strategic direction of the firm’s knowledge management and research functions, focusing on innovation and emerging legal technologies, including data analytics and artificial intelligence.

Under Anne’s leadership, Goodwin’s KM team has received industry recognition for a variety of innovative solutions. Goodwin’s “What’s Market” deal-term, analytics platform was named the winner of the “Best Use of Technology” award at the 2022 American Lawyer Industry Awards. Goodwin’s “GO! Team Business Metrics” platform was “Commended” in the “Using Data” category at the 2022 Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Awards. Goodwin’s collaboration with Shoobx, a web-based ecosystem for startups, was shortlisted as a nominee for the ILTA 2017 Innovative Project of the Year Award – Client Facing.

Anne is a frequent speaker on a variety of information services management topics, including information strategy, emerging legal technology and innovation. Anne also meets regularly with Goodwin clients to advise on emerging legal technology trends, products verticals and the technology procurement lifecycle. 

Anne holds an M.L.I.S from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, a JD from Marquette University Law School and a BA from The University of Iowa. She is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, American Association of Law Libraries and the International Legal Technology Association.

Jean P. O'Grady, Consultant 


Jean P. O'Grady  spent 40 years leading strategic  library and knowledge initiatives in Amlaw 100 law firm's.  Recently retired from Venable, LLP, she is now working as an independent knowledge strategist, writer and commentator based in Washington, DC. She holds a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, an M.L.S. from St. John's University and a B.A. in History from Fordham University She is a member of the NY State Bar (retired).

 She is a frequent author and speaker on the transformation of  libraries and information centers,  knowledge management, legal analytics and the legal publishing industry. She has spoken at programs sponsored by the Information Industry Association, the Association of Newsletter Publishers, Practicing Law Institute, International Legal Technology Association , West Publishing,  Price Waterhouse, LegalTech, Lexis-Nexis. Janders Dean Knowledge Management Conference, American Association of Law Schools, as well as the  American Association of Law Libraries, Canadian Association of Law Libraries, Australian  Law Libraries Association and the Special Libraries Association.
  In 2011 she launched  "Dewey B Strategic"  to promote awareness of the strategic importance of librarians, libraries and knowledge managers  as change agents and innovators in the organizations they support.  She has written provocative pieces on  a variety of law firm management, publishing and technology issues which have sparked important debates in the industry. In 2011 she was named on the inaugural list of Fastcase 50 leading innovators in law. She is a regular  panelist on Bob Ambrogi’s weekly “ LegalTech Week podcast and she writes a monthly column on LegalTech Hub.
