Law Archive is currently the only free open access global repository of its kind for the sharing of legal scholarship. It is supported by a non-profit collaboration between an academic law library - the Lillian Goldman Law Library and the Center for Open Science. Law Archive is open to researchers, scholars, and librarians. Any law library can utilize Law Archive as a repository of legal scholarship in the same manner as proprietary repositories without the costs associated with the latter. This webinar will explore the Law Archive framework and demonstrate the unique features available to librarians, legal scholars, and researchers.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
Those who will benefit the most from this session are legal scholars, or those who act on behalf of legal scholars. Just as well, those who are interested in librarian run, nonprofit digital infrastructure initiatives.
TAKEAWAYS:
1. Understand the importance of preserving and sharing legal scholarship
2. Highlight the distinction between Law Archive and other platforms such as SSRN and Bepress.
3. Discover the free unique collaboration and data storage tools and resources available in Law Archive.
4. Learn how to upload and disseminate papers.
